The verb ἐγένετο (egeneto) is singular although τὰ ἱμάτια (ta himatia) is plural.[8]Heinrich Meyer observes that some critical editors have used the plural verb, ἐγένοντο (egenonto).[9] Cf. Mark 9:3 in Codex Bezae
