Martin Rundkvist is a Swedish archaeologist. ... His research mainly concerns Scandinavia's Bronze Age, Iron Age and Middle Ages (1700 BCE to 1500 CE). Rundkvist has led field investigations at, among other places, Askahögen, Barshalder, Birgitta's headland, Djurhamn, Kungahälla, Landsjö, Pukeberget, Skamby, Skällvik's castle ruins, Stensö castle and Sättuna. Rundkvist is researching the Younger Iron Age elite in Östergötland, and during the project has investigated whether there was a Viking Age nave next to Alvastra monastery, which could not be confirmed. Martin Rundkvist's archive includes archaeological investigation reports from the years 1996-2022. A large part of the reports document excavations, but some are from metal searches, and in some cases conservation reports or osteological analyzes appear as appendices.
