The name 'Pemberton' was only present after 1902, and only appeared on the OS maps in 1911. It was named after the Pemberton arms that is now privately own house on Pemberton village Square. Before the name 'Pemberton' the village was known as 'Waun Wrla' and made out of a few cottages called Llanddafen row, the Pemberton arms and Llanddafen farm. Pemberton Family
