  • It is said by the Religieux de Saint-Denys that Thury participated in a third Conclave, that of 14–17 May 1410, which elected Baldassare Cossa as Pope John XXIII. In his list of participants, however, the Religieux makes Thury a Cardinal Deacon, while he had been a Cardinal Priest for more than twenty-four years and was in fact the senior Cardinal Priest. There is evidence, moreover, that Thury was in France in the late winter and spring of 1410, serving as Apostolic Legate and Vicar of Avignon. The Religieux' list is not trustworthy.
