Some scholars, interpreting a submission that her brother Li Zhe made while making a food offering to Emperor Gaozong and Empress Wu, written on his behalf by the official Cui Rong (崔融) and subsequently collected in the collection Full Tang Texts (全唐文), believed her name to be Li Lingyue (李令月), but the text cannot be conclusively interpreted in that manner. This was a popular saying that was taken by Emperor Wen of Han to be referring to the relationship with his younger brother Liu Zhang (劉長) the Prince of Huai'nan, whom he had exiled in light of Liu Zhang's crimes and who died on the way to exile, leading to much regret on his part.
