"Christeon Cummins arrived at Philadelphia in 1741, and in 1755 bought 150 acres of land east of Asbury. This is the original seat of this branch of the Cummins family in Warren county, and the property remained in possession of some member of the family for a century and a quarter, or until Wesley Cummins sold it about 1880.... Four of his children—Christeon, Philip, John F. and Mrs. George Beatty - settled at Cumminstown, now Vienna."
