The Jamba area is heavily defenced by an extensive array of air defense weaponry which includes two batteries of ZSU-23-4 self-propelled anti-aircraft artillery guns and one probable battery of SA-9.
The second "Karma" aircraft was much less lucky. It was hit--by a ZSU-23-4 Shilka, according to Soviet sources (US sources, though, claim it was hit by a SAM)--and crashed in the sea.
