Examination made of the said child….. (follows the description of the clothes and the text of the inscription) Consequently, I gave her the names of Élisa Mercœur. Having immediately gone with the said Jean Favret carrying the said Élisa Mercœur to the orphans' orphanage of this city, I requested the superior to receive her….
