« en juin 2006… il avait… été décidé… que la situation des droits de l'homme dans les pays du monde serait traitée sous différents points de ⟨l' ⟩ordre du jour. Par contre, la question d'Israël et de la Palestine est discutée au point 7, créé spécialement à cet effet. La situation qui prévaut dans tous les autres pays est, quant à elle, examinée aux points 4 et 10. Dans la pratique, le point 7 fait à chaque fois l'objet d'un à deux jours de discussions, tandis que le Conseil n'accorde que quelques heures de son temps à la situation dans le reste du monde. Ainsi, depuis juin 2006, il a adopté 68 résolutions contre Israël, et 67 concernant tout le reste du monde. Vu la situation réelle des droits de l'homme dans le monde, la Suisse… ferait bien… de proposer au Conseil de supprimer ce point 7, qui vise spécifiquement Israël.
