« A 3-Week World Tour for (but Not Only) Kids », article de Mike Hale dans le New York Times le 3 mars 2011 : « That is the case with Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli’s film A Cat in Paris, a gorgeous hand-drawn feature that is one of the highlights of this festival. A caper featuring a cat, a cat burglar and a girl whose mother is a revenge-obsessed cop, it’s like an animated children’s version of an Alfred Hitchcock or Roman Polanski thriller set on the rooftops of Paris. A Cat in Paris, recommended for ages 6 and older, is simultaneously more childlike — in its straightforward storytelling and its lack of adult-pacifying pop culture jokiness — and more nerve-racking than its big-budget American counterparts. Without being too frightening, it projects a sense of danger, both physical and emotional, that is more engaging than the high-pitched thrills of the domestic films. » Page consultée le 10 février 2012.
