Swami Omanand points out that the Ahirs and Jats of Haryana and Western U.P., specially the residents of the Tajupur, Dayalpur villages of Gurgaon district and of the Tatarpur village of Meerut district, belong to the Dehiya, Dheyu or Dheya family which according to him is a currupt from of the ancient word Yaudheya.
