So in this work Jerome says...: I find among the many bad things written by Origen the following most distincted heretical: that the Son of God is a creature, that the Holy Spirit is a servant, that there are innumerable worlds succeeding one another in eternal ages, that the angels have been turned into the human souls -and I'm skipping parts because it just goes on for this- that our bodies themselves would grow aerial and spirit like and gradually vanish and disappear into thin air, into nothing, and that in the restitution of all things all beings, including the devil, will be with one condition in one degree, then will begin a new world from a new origin in which one who is now a virgin may chance tend to be a prostitute [...], it goes for a whole list of charges like this and then he says: these are the thing I point as heresies in the books of Origen, is for you to point out in which of his books you've found them contradicted.
