The film was shot in two versions, the Todd-AO one, distributed by Mike Todd's Magna productions, and a CinemaScope version for theatres that were not, at that time, able to handle Todd-AO. The Cinemascope version was released by RKO a year after the Todd-AO version and is the one that most audiences have seen.[要出典]
