    • Chaetacanthus burchellii Nees → Dyschoriste radicans (Hochst. ex A. Rich.
    • The Plant List (2013) ではこの属で正名とされているのは Adhatoda densiflora Manning ただ一つであるが、これはHassler (2018) では Justicia natalensis (Nees) T.Anders のシノニム扱いとされている。
    • ただし当のサンゴバナ（Jacobinia magnifica (Nees) Lindau）はキツネノマゴ属に移され、Justicia carnea Lindl. が正式な学名とされている[4][5]。また The Plant List (2013) においてJacobinia属下にあるものが正名とされている11種のうち6種が、Hassler (2018) では以下のようにキツネノマゴ属の種のシノニム扱いとされている。
      • Jacobinia aschenborniana (Nees) Hemsl. → Justicia leonardii D.C. Wassh.
      • The Plant List (2013) においてSiphonoglossa属下にあるものが正名とされている11種のうち10種が、Hassler (2018) では以下のようにキツネノマゴ属の種のシノニム扱いとされている。
