Singapore Airlines in Northern winter 2023/24 season intends to resume Airbus A380 service to Japan, as the airline tentatively files one-way Airbus A380 service on Singapore – Tokyo Narita route, as SQ638 from 29OCT23. Tokyo Narita departure as SQ637 continues to display Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, as of 0530GMT 26JUN23.
Further changes can be expected.
The airline continues to list 1 daily 777-300ER for Singapore – Tokyo Narita – Los Angeles route.

In support of the Government's plan to establish Thailand as a regional aviation hub and to provide better and seamless connectivity to its guests, Thai AirAsia X (XJ) will be relocating all of its flight operations to Don Mueang Airport (DMK) starting 1 October 2024.
The relocation follows successful coordination with, and is being facilitated by Airports of Thailand Plc. and the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand. Thai AirAsia X currently operates from Suvarnabhumi Airport.
Effective 1 October, Thai AirAsia X guests flying to Seoul, South Korea; Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Sapporo in Japan; Shanghai, China and Sydney, Australia will be departing from Don Mueang Airport.

On December 15th, Turkish Airlines reintroduced Istanbul Airport to Tokyo Narita after last serving the route in March 2020. The return inevitably followed Japan's reopening to the world. As it added Haneda in 2020, it is the first time the Star Alliance member has served Narita and Haneda simultaneously, at least with passenger flights.
