China Eastern Airlines will introduce a new route from Nanjing to Kuching and Kota Kinabalu in June, said Dato Sri Tiong King Sing.
For the Nanjing to Kuching route, services will start on June 24, with three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using aircraft such as Boeing 737-800 or Airbus A320neo for both routes.
Firefly will operate the charter flights three times a week, scheduled to arrive in Tawau every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, with a 540-seat capacity per week until the end of March.
