Alan John Ross (1922–2001) was a British poet, writer, editor and publisher. A contemporary of Philip Larkin and Kingsley Amis at St John's College, Oxford, he served in the Royal Navy during the Second World War and in the 1950s became cricket correspondent for The Observer. He edited the London Magazine from 1961 until his death in 2001.
