Analysis of information sources in references of the Wikipedia article "Dione (gênero)" in Portuguese language version.
The genus Dione Hübner, [1819] is one of the most basal lineages of passionvine butterflies, and comprises only three species (Lamas 2004): Dione glycera (C. Felder & R. Felder, 1861), Dione juno (Cramer, 1779) and Dione moneta Hübner, [1825]. Of these, only D. glycera shows no differentiation into subspecies throughout its geographic range (Emsley 1963; Lamas 2004), and is closely associated with mountainous landscapes of the Andes, from Venezuela to Argentina.
