[...] Thousands of people each month were being shown a movie produced by ex-Mormons called The God Makers, that assailed the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as one of the most dangerous and deceptive groups in the world. The film depicts it as a rich cult that dabbles in pagan practices and the occult, distorts its history, brainwashes its members, subjugates its female members and bases its beliefs on scripture that is a fairy tale, just like Alice in Wonderland.
