Analysis of information sources in references of the Wikipedia article "Vaga-lume" in Portuguese language version.
The behaviour and ecology have been studied more or less thoroughly only in four lampyrid species, i.e. Lampyris noctiluca, Lamprohiza splendidula, Phosphaenus hemipterus and Luciola lusitanica. Probably this is also due to the fact that these are the most widely distributed and most common species in Europe.
