While this claim may be somewhat tenuous, it cannot be denied that the Caucasian Albanians of ancient and medieval times played a role in the ethnogenesis of the Armenians of Nagomo-Karabagh, the Azerbaijanis*, the Georgians of Kakhetia, and of the Daghestanis*, notably the Laks*, the Lezgins*, and the Tsakhurs*.
