Prohaeresius put on his usual virtuoso performance and clearly gained the appointment; Eunapius, in his casual way, fails to say that, but he subsequently (p. 495) mentions the three official sophists as being Epiphanius the Syrian, Diophantus the Arabian, and Prohaeresius the Armenian.
