"consciousness") in SN 22.3 [1], skriver Bodhi (2000b), s. 1046-7, n. 18: "Passagen bekräftar medvetandets framträdande roll bland de fem aggregaten. Alla aggregat är visserligen betingade fenomen som lyder under tillvarons tre karaktäristika, men medvetandet fungerar som den sammanbindande tråden personal continuity som löper genom sekvensen av återfödelser…De andra fyra aggregaten fungerar som 'medvetandets stationer' (vinnanatthitiyo: see [SN] 22:53-54). Men inte heller medvetandet är någon entitet som är identisk med sig själv, utan en sekvens av ögonblick av kognition som uppstår i beroende, se MN I 256-60."
