Meanwhile , it rained and flood came . For days together the elder brother could not reach his brother and so the starving brother had to live on a calf from his flock . On reaching his brother , a few days after the flood had subsided , the elder brother was enraged at this profane act of his younger brother . He condemned him as flesh eater and excommunicated him . The Thotti Chakkiliyans are said to be the descendants of this excommunicated Naicker.
