Sharaf al-Din, Ali* Yazdi: Persian poet and historian; d. 1454. He was the companion of the Timurid Shahrukh and his son Mirza Sultan Muhammad, who summoned him to Qum. Sharaf al-Din wrote the history of Tamerlane.
