Feelings after cooperation with the CIA ended (in the late 1960s): American didn't want to help Tibet. It just wanted to make trouble for China. It had no far-sighted policy for Tibet. I wasn't trained for this (clandestine operations). We didn't know about power politics. In retrospect, the Tibetan armed resistance backed by the CIA: "I can't say the CIA help was useful. Whatever help they provided, it really provoked the Chinese. It led to reprisals. I feel very sorry for this."
