Cruise's character Maverick hasn't changed much but his beloved bomber jacket apparently has and it's stirring up some controversy. Two of the patches on the jacket originally had the japanese and Taiwanese flags...but they appear to have been replaced with two ambiguous symbols. Now one eagle eyed fan spotted the difference on Twitter; it's been widely speculated that the Chinese government and Chinese tech giant Tencent which is affiliated with Paramount Pictures had a say in those changes.
