Nguyễn Huệ was referred to as Ong Bai (องบาย) and Bak Bin Yuang (บากบินเยือง) in Siamese royal records;[18] these two words derived from Vietnamese words ÔngBảy ("Sir seven") and Bắc Bình Vương respectively. Actually, Siamese confused him with his brother Nguyễn Lữ. Ông Bảy was Nguyễn Lữ's nick name.[19][13]
