Stosowane są np. kwestionariusze health-related quality of life (HRQoL(inne języki)). Zmiany HRQoL (kwestionariusz EORTC(inne języki) QLQ-C30) określano np. w czasie międzynarodowych randomizowanych badań skuteczności leków w onkologii[122], np. pazopanibu (celowany lek przeciwnowotworowy), porównywanej z placebo. W badaniach uczestniczyło 369 pacjentów z mięsakiem w stadium zaawansowanym. Potwierdzono, że stosowanie leku wyraźnie zwiększa czas przeżycia bez progresji (PFS, ang. progression-free survival), nie powodując istotnej zmiany HRQoL[123].
